Benefits for Workers

If you are unable to work due to COVID-19 (Sick or Quarantined), you can file a Disability Insurance Claim.

If you are unable to work due to an ill or quarantined family member, you can file a Paid Family Leave Claim.

If you are unable to work because your child’s school is closed, you may be eligible for Unemployment Insurance benefits.

If your employer has reduced your hours or shut your place of business down due to COVID-19, you can file an Unemployment Insurance Claim.

Benefits for Children/Students

Most school districts have closed for the foreseeable future due to COVID-19. However, most schools will be continuing education through online platforms.

Meals for Students

Benefits for Employers

For employers experiencing hardship as a result of the Coronavirus may request a 60-day extension from the EDD to file state payroll taxes. You can call them at: 1–916–464–3502
